We had to say Good bye to our niece and nephew over the weekend. They were here for 5 weeks. WOW!! They had a great time though, mostly due to making a few friends on the street here. I think they would have ended up going stir-crazy if they hadn’t. There is only so much that uncles/aunts and grandparents can do to keep kids occupied after all. It was really nice having them around. Their family moved back out to B.C 4 years ago this week. They lived in Ontario originally, and right around the time I met DH, they were moving out to B.C. the first time, that was 12 years ago. Then after being in B.C. for 4 years, they came back to Ontario and were here for 4 years. That is when the parents (dh’s sister and BIL) decided that they liked B.C. life much better and packed everyone up and headed back out there. So we haven’t seen any of them since then. Here are a few pictures I took of Katlyn and Josh while they were here. I didn’t get too many though, cuz they didn’t really go anywhere and not much happened around the house either that I could get pics of.
We had a visit from the oldest daughter back in March. She came down for 2 weeks. She was here alone, hubby and baby stayed back in B.C. That must have been a nice break for her and I think she enjoyed getting together with all her friends from here.
My brother is still visiting with us. Makes it a bit hard to do my work on the computer like I should, because he is constantly asking me to spend time with him. It is after all his vacation. I can appreciate that, but it isn’t MY vacation…haha. I have loved having him around. But, you can tell that he is getting a little on the bored side with how much more he is bugging me about my computer time. He says that it isn’t that bad…he doesn’t want to go home yet, so I guess he isn’t THAT bored yet. Hopefully we will be bringing him home not totally bored out of his skull…lol. I believe that he is going home either Wednesday or Friday. Maybe Thursday night, but if it is then, it will be after I am finished work at 9 pm. I kind of don’t want to do it that way, cuz I would like to visit with my Dad a bit the day we bring him home. But, we shall see right?
